Application made to remove trees in a garden at 'The Orchard'. Concerned that the Council are not committed to conserving trees. This is an ongoing issue. There has been unprecedented tree removal in last 2 years (more than 50 on one street) some with permission, most without, in this article 4 area. The latest application is to remove 4 trees and a hedge from a garden. The trees appear healthy and appear to be bat roots or forage areas.

Pile of rubbish in the last turning on the right going into Misson. Looks like a large van or lorry load. There is also some kind of industrial container made out of metal. There is a lot more than usual and is obstructing the entrance to the field.

Gill Lane is a well used footpath between Beckingham Church and The Green. It provides access to Beckingham Primary School and is regularly used by many villagers to access the Post Office on The Green. The hedge that forms the boundary between the school and the footpath is poorly maintained and has not been pruned or cut back. There are now brambles and hawthorn branches overhanging the path at head/face height and these are dangerous (particularly at dusk or in darkness as there is no lighting). The hedge has also been allowed to grow to such a height that it shades the gardens of residents living on The Crescent. NOTE: when contractors have trimmed the hedge in the past they have left the clippings in the ditch. This is not satisfactory as the ditch is actually important for drainage and flooding of the footpath has occurred.
